Russian state-owned media reported that police in Russia arrested the administrator of LeakBase, a large hacking forum.
An international law enforcement operation shut down a service called SocksEscort, which allegedly helped cybercriminals all over the world launch ransomware and DDoS attacks, as well as distribute child sexual abuse material.
Authorities say LeakBase was “one of the world’s largest online forums for cybercriminals,” and maintained an archive of hacked databases containing hundreds of millions of passwords.
Europol announced the seizure of Cryptomixer’s official website, as well as 25 million euros and 12 terabytes of data from the mixer’s service.
Authorities from nine countries took down three cybercrime operations, including the Rhadamantys infostealer, which allegedly had access to the crypto wallets of more than 100,000 victims.
