Cognition’s Scott Wu says AI coding agents shouldn’t replace humans
Cognition makes Devin, the first and arguably most successful AI coding agent. But famed coder Wu says it isn’t designed to supplant human programmers.
Founders Fund, the Peter Thiel-backed VC, led Cognition’s latest round, with participation from existing investors like Lux Capital, Joe Lonsdale’s 8VC, Elad Gil, Definition Capital and Swish Ventures.
Cognition is also laying off 30 employees. Those who take the buyout are expected to work 80+ hour weeks.
