Suno lets users create music using natural language prompts, making it possible for people with little experience to generate audio with little effort.
“We want musicians to keep making music, and for fans to have confidence that the music they find on Bandcamp was created by humans,” the company said.
WMG says artists and songwriters will have full control over whether and how their names, images, likenesses, voices, and compositions are used in new AI-generated music.
Suno has been the target of multiple AI training lawsuits but it has grown so rapidly, VCs were delighted to invest.
